Abstract

AbstractA comparison of two methods of subwavelength imaging is undertaken. Pendry's superlens is compared with a computational image reconstruction technique. In both cases, limitations of materials impose limits on resolution. Both systems have similar limits, suggesting that resolution restrictions on Pendry's superlens apply generally to various forms of subwavelength imaging. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
