Abstract

The numerical computation of electromagnetic field has been widely used in electromagnetic engineering applications. The commonly used electromagnetic computation methods include finite difference method, finite element method and finite volume method. In addition, electromagnetic multi-physical field coupling is becoming more and more advanced. However, most of the current multi-physical field coupling only involve a certain numerical computation method, and the coupling application of different numerical algorithms is still lacking. Therefore, this paper will use the above three different electromagnetic field numerical computation methods and the coupling computation methods between them to solve the 2D square cable model. The numerical solution obtained is compared with the analytical solution respectively, and the reason for the error reduction of the coupling numerical algorithm is analyzed to verify the accuracy and rationality of the coupling method. This study is helpful to improve the accuracy of electromagnetic numerical solutions, and provides reference value for the coupling between different numerical algorithms.
