Abstract

An attempt has been made to study the comparative performance of buildings suitable for sunny and cold climatic conditions, by using various heating techniques through walls/roof. An energy balance for different components of a building has been considered in a quasi-steady state condition. It is inferred that thermal load levelling (TLL) is improved due to integration of roofs as an air collector in the case of a large isothermal south wall.
