Abstract
1. 1. A study has been made of the degree of hemolysis of rhesus and squirrel monkey erythrocytes that occurs when the red blood cells are incubated in Nad, glucose, N-ethylmaeimide. urea, saponin, chlorpromazine, iodoacetate and phosphate and borate buffer solutions. 2. 2. Our findings suggest that squirrel monkeys, like rhesus monkeys, represent a good experimental model for the in vitro study of erythrocytic hemolysis.
