This overview highlights the Commission’s (i) plan to respond to rising energy prices; (ii) approval of technical support for tax reforms in the Member States; (iii) initiative to waive VAT to support defence and security capabilities within the European Union; (iv) scrutiny of Hellenic Post’s VAT exemption under State aid rules; and (v) approval of French tax scheme to attract investment to Saint-Martin.
