Abstract
In a recent publication, Sidhu et al. (2011) [1] claimed that the bainite transformation model of Van Bohemen and Sietsma (2008) [2] may be improved by introducing a temperature-dependent scaling function to describe the incomplete bainite transformation in high-Si steels. The physical aspects and input parameters of this model are critically discussed.
