Abstract
The transfer via colostrum of antibodies against Cooperia oncophora was demonstrated in 180 cow-calf pairs. Subsequently, at the age of 2.5 to 4 months, 47 calves were challenged with 100, 000 C. oncophora larvae. Previous acquisition of antibodies from colostrum did not influence the course of infection in these calves.
