Abstract
The work of Current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) based Oscillator design is presented in this paper. The CFOA is comprised of the second-generation current conveyor (CCII) and an operational amplifier. This work focuses on working with current mode blocks rather than making use of conventional voltage-mode block because of their advantages which makes them better to use in different applications. Quadrature oscillator is then proposed using the tested CFOA as it behaves as an active building block. Oscillator circuit makes use of 2 CFOA, resistors and capacitors. Oscillation condition and oscillator frequency are controlled with resistors and capacitors. The CFOA block verification and working of the oscillator are done using Cadence Virtuoso simulation software at 180nm technology and got a current-mode oscillator with a frequency of 66.7 MHz.
