Abstract

This article focuses on the data collection process for laboratory data from a clinical research scientist's point of view. There are a number of options at each step in the process which must be considered in planning the best procedure for the individual study. Emphasis is on setting up the communication links between all parties, and making plans and contingency plans which can deal with every eventuality that could possibly occur.
