Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of fuzilizhongtang in Treating gastrointestinal reac-tion due to chemotherapy for malignant tumor. Methods 160 post-chemotherapy tumor patients treated with the same chemotherapy were randomly divided into two equal groups. The control and the fuzilizhongtang group re-ceived the same chemotherapeutic treatments with intravenous Granisetron Hydrochloride before the chemothera-py for preventing vomiting. During the chemotherapy period, the control group were intramuscularly injected with 10 mg metoclopramide and 20 mg Diphenhydramine while the fuzilizhongtang group were given fuzilizhongtang per day orally. Results The incidence of nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal distention, constipa-tion was significantly lower in fuzilizhongtang group than in control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). ConclusionFuzilizhongtang can significantly alleviate the gastrointestinal reaction due to chemotherapy for malignant tumor,deserve the clinical expansion.
