Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical treatment of paederus induced severe keratoconjunctivitis. Methods From May 2012 to May 2015, 46 eyes of 46 cases of paederus induced keratoconjunctivitis patients, with complete data, were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were treated by the combination of compound glycyrrhizin and glucocorticoid, the serious patient were combined with amniotic membrane covering. Results After treatment, the keratoconjunctivitis stimulating symptoms were improved significantly within 24 hours. All patients were cured within 3~6 days and their eyelid lesions healed without scars. Conclusion The treatment of paederus induced severe keratoconjunctivitis through glucocorticoid combined with compound glycyrrhizin and with amniotic membrane covering when necessary is effective.
