Abstract

Objective To investigate the corneal endotheliitis after posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. Methods Through retrospective analysis 9 cases (9 eyes) diagnosed as corneal endotheliitis, which had undertaken phacoemulsification cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation from March 2013 to March 2015. The location of cornel edema, the changes of corneal endothelium, the morphology of KP were observed. Local or systemic application of corticosteroids and antiviral agents were effective in their treatments. Results The edema and inflammation resolved, visual acuity improved in 8 cases and 1 case ocurred bullous keratopathy. Conclusions It is possible to decrease or avoid the development of the corneal endotheliitis with early discovery and immediate treatment.
