Abstract
[Objective]To evaluate the effect lateral internal sphincterotomy and skin flap advanced plasty on chronic anal fissure.[Methods]The clinical data of 67 cases of chronic anal fissure from February 2008 to January 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. The differences in operation time, healing time and incidence of postoperative complications were compared.[Results]All patients in the internal sphincterotomy group healed after surgery. Two cases in the skin flap advanced plasty group failing with primary healing, healed after dressing change and drainage while the rest cases were all successful. The operation time were (29± 3) min and(45±4) min respectively, the healing time were(19.0±2.7)d and (8.7±1.2)d,respectively.The differences between the two groups were significant(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in infection and fecal incontinence.[Conclusions]Skin flap advanced plasty is an alternative method to lateral internal sphincterotomy for chronic anal fissure.
