Abstract

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (M EC) of the skin is rare and is generally considered to be of sweat gland origin. I Like its homologue in salivary glands, this tumor is composed of proliferating squamous and mucin-producing cells. Although it may appear deceptively benign histologically, it may pursue an aggressive course.2 We report a case of MEC with a prominent clear cell component in a finger . Clear cell variants of MEC are well recognized in the salivary gland, but, to our knowledge, a clear cell variant of cutaneous MEC has not been described previously.
