Abstract

This paper presents a review of the classification of textile dyes by dye class such as chemical structure, colour, application, fastness, manufacturer, synthesis route, date invented, to name only a few. In order for us to construct a classification system. Several types of dyes like basic, reactive, anthraquinone, disperse, acidic, azo, diazo, and metal-complex dyes. This review is divided into the following sections: a brief introduction on the dyes used for textile dyeing, a recent review describes well the detailed mechanism for each dye during dyeing. The amount of dyestuff does not bind to the fibers and is lost in wastewater during textile processing. These dyes are carcinogenic both for animal and human beings
