Abstract

In wireless sensor network, although the geographical and energy aware routing algorithm can balance the energy load of nodes, but it is not suitable for the heterogeneous network which is composed by nodes with different initial energy. In this paper, we propose a new CEAR algorithm. The algorithm divides the ordinary nodes into the backbone node and independent node by using the energy threshold periodically. So the nodes with low-energy can be protected. Then these two types of node use the built backbone routing tree and choice function to transmit data. At the same time, the algorithm introduces the self-adaptive adjustment strategy into some of choice function, which can reduce the network energy consumption. At last, the simulation experiment proves the efficiency of the algorithm.
