Abstract
ABSTRACT This study critically examines the resistance of the Baloch diaspora to the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) within the context of Balochistan, a province marked by insurgency. The Baloch diaspora believes that CPEC-driven infrastructural development and resource extraction have precipitated land acquisition, forced displacement, and the erosion of livelihoods. Utilizing diverse mobilization, advocacy, and lobbying strategies, Baloch communities in Europe and North America have highlighted the detrimental impacts of CPEC, stressing the inequitable distribution of economic benefits. The study calls for enhanced transparency and inclusivity in decision-making processes related to CPEC, underscoring the diaspora’s role in fostering transnational solidarity and activism.
