Summary
It is well known that the demography of U. Wives’ employment is associated with families having higher incomes and has been increasing, even for mothers with young children [2,3,4]. Maternal employment is associated with positive mental health outcomes and parenting outcomes, especially if mothers want to work outside the home [6]. Maternal contributions to family income can enhance the quality of family life. Many mothers experience high levels of stress with employment, especially if they have younger children and fewer resources, such as ready access to high quality daycare [2,6]. Income appears to have an indirect effect on marital happiness by operating through the reduction of financial worry and stress, even if it does not have much of a direct impact on marital happiness by itself [5,7]
