Abstract
Shields and associates (Am J Ophthalmol 2002;134:607–609) recently described a patient with multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) type 2b in whom they observed a choroidal tumor they presumed, not unreasonably, to be a metastasis of medullary thyroid carcinoma. They were probably correct, although there was no histopathologic correlation. They further presumed that they were the first to describe a choroidal metastasis in MEN type 2b of medullary thyroid carcinoma. In 1995, we described such metastases in our case report 1 Koh L.K.
