AbstractTwo new classes of the title reaction are developed: Upon the transformation of allenoates with 2‐acyl‐3‐methylacrylonitriles a β′‐addition/[4+4] cycloaddition reaction sequence provides access to 2‐oxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonanes.
