AbstractA new lamellar (Li/Ag)CoO2 phase of alternating rock salt and delafossite type layers is obtained during (Li+,Na+)/Ag+ ion exchange of the OP4‐(Li/Na)CoO2 precursor as an intermediate to the final D4‐AgCoO2 delafossite.
