AbstractSorbinsäure‐methylester (I) läßt sich in Gegenwart von 1% Chromhexacarbonyl selektiv zu cis‐3‐Hexensäureester (II) hydrieren (Hexan, 160°C, 93,5%; Aceton, 150°C, gleiche Ausbeute nur mit mehr Katalysator).
