AbstractA novel chiral Broensted acid is prepared in one step from (‐)‐menthol and readily available pentacarbomethoxycyclopentadiene and utilized in both Mukaiyama—Mannich and oxocarbenium aldol reactions with high efficiency and enantioselectivity.
