Abstract

On behalf of the UA5 collaboration I wish to present results on charged particle multiplicity distributions at 200 and 900 GeV c.m. energies. These data were taken with the CERN p-p SPS Collider operating in a slow pulsed mode. The beam energies were cycled between 450 GeV and 100 GeV repeatedly for this mode of operation. The data presented here are based on 4156 measured events at 200 GeV and 6839 events at 900 GeV. These data supersede our earlier study [1] which was based on rather small event samples.
