Abstract

To determine the characteristics of quality of life (QoL) in elderly patients with osteoarthritis (OA) and different vitamin D levels who have undergone endoprosthesis replacement, the investigators examined two groups of patients aged 60–80 years: 1) 100 patients who had undergone prosthetic replacement; 2) 100 patients who had not undergone. QoL and everyday life activity were found to be higher in patients with OA who had undergone total arthroplasty than in those who had received only medical therapy.
