Abstract

Trucks are known as industrial transporting vehicles providing a flexible approach for distributing various materials throughout plants. The proper selection of such vehicles helps to minimize the moves throughout the processing plants while performing efficient transportation that helps to keep the quality of food products. Trucks are categorized into two different groups, viz., hand trucks and power trucks. Also, another classification is available for the trucks based on their lifting mode including platform trucks, low-lift trucks, and high-lift trucks. In this chapter, different types of trucks that might be used in a food processing plant are introduced.
