Abstract
This chapter analyzes transport development in China from freight index, economy, and infrastructure perspectives. We focus on coal, which is a special good and reflects the development of the economy. From the perspective of logistics, we provide an overview of Chinese logistics development, and we center our analysis on logistics policy in recent years. After the introduction, we try to focus on several important freight transport problems in China, which remain unsettled, including ports freight, road freight, and logistics cost. We analyze the problem representation, reasons, and solution in some articles. At last, we summarize the freight transport policy in China since 2017 to analyze the development trend.
