Abstract

This chapter focuses on the tools that the project managers need to ensure that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is properly accounted for throughout the project. EMC control activity will depend on the degree to which EMC affects the outcome of the project. Therefore, it presents the control activity. The EMC test plan acts as the schedule for in-house testing, or can be used as a contractual document in dealing with an external test house. EMC activities are achieved by establishing an EMC control board or committee whose purpose is the effective execution, on schedule, of the EMC control plan. In-house suitable training is to be provided to bring knowledge of the EMC.
