Abstract
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare has increased steadily with digitization and our reliance on data science. Cardiac and aortic surgery, however, have transitioned less than other specialties, such as radiology. Meanwhile, AI offers broad potential to support cardiac surgeons. Imaging analysis, robot-assisted surgery, and nonlinear risk stratification are all areas where AI can support surgeons and improve patient outcomes.
