Abstract

Monofunctional nanoparticles have a simple property while multipurpose nanoparticles incorporate diverse features in a sole property-designed nanocomposite. This book highlights the up-to-date details on the synthesis, properties, and possible functions of multifunctional hybrid nanomaterials like organic-inorganic and in organic-inorganic hybrid systems such as polymer-metal hybrids combined with metal or metal oxides such as Ag NPs, TiO2 NPs, ZnO NPs, CNPs, CuO NPs, and Fe3O4 NPs. Innovative synthetic strategies for the production of next-generation, advanced, multifunctional hybrid nanomaterials and specific design concepts with improved features and advanced properties for high-performance devices and systems employing these types of materials are provided in the current volume. Hybrid nanomaterials have large applications in food processing and packaging areas, plant protection, water treatment, the veterinary sector, and more. The application of multifunctional hybrid nanomaterials in various fields including the environment, food, and agriculture is also discussed.
