Abstract

Professor Iain McCall (Oswestry, England) after over a decade of dedicated service to the journal as European editor desired to step down as an editor of Skeletal Radiology. Professor McCall had been the editor responsible for all review articles and original scientific manuscripts originating from all over the world, excluding North America and Canada. Members of the International Skeletal Society (ISS), fellow editors, and members of the editorial board most gratefully acknowledge the yeoman service provided by Professor McCall in strengthening the journal, guiding authors, especially those whose first language was not English, and influencing the content of musculoskeletal science for the readership. Professor Juerg Hodler was appointed the new European editor of Skeletal Radiology at the 2006 meeting of the International Skeletal Society held in Vancouver, Canada. Professor Hodler is chief of Radiology at the Balgrist Orthopedic hospital in Zurich, Switzerland, is extensively published, particularly in the realm of MR imaging, holds a Master’s Degree of Business Administration, and has been a member and reviewer for over half a dozen editorial boards and a dozen musculoskeletal journals in Europe and the USA. The transition of editors has gone smoothly, and Professor Hodler will now be responsible for all scientific manuscripts from Europe, Asia, South America, and Australasia (excluding case reports). He can be reached at juerg.hodler@balgrist.ch. The editors and members of the editorial board welcome Professor Hodler and wish him great success as the fourth European editor of Skeletal Radiology.
