Abstract

Based on the telemetry of microwave range and velocity sensor(radar) equipped on Chang'e 3 and Chang'e 4 probe, combined with radar system parameters, transmitted power, receiver gain, etc. Microwave (35GHz) backscatter coefficient of landing site can be gotten. At same time, derived coefficient matched with optical image around landing site, taken by a camera on the lander. Microwave backscatter coefficient will be reference for future lunar exploration and microwave radar design.
