Abstract
ABSTRACT Orientation is an important component of a student’s transition to beginning a counselor preparation program. In this study, the researchers conducted interviews with 16 students to explore the use of challenge course activities, involving group games, within the orientation process. The researchers identified three overarching themes (process of getting to know each other, application, and recommendations) and multiple subthemes. The researchers also discuss the limitations and recommendations for future research, as well as the implications for counselor education.
