Abstract

Objective: The newly born 1 month old due to a laborious delivery, despite the signs of fetal distress for 8 hours the decision for surgery was not made, after birth presented neurolgical ande respiratory tract symptoms ... hospitalized for a few days at the unit of neonatology, the patient had a total paralysis of right upper limb with Signs of psychomotor retardation. Methods: About one case. Results: Erroneous management of the delivery dystocia has led to severe complications of Central and peripheral nervous system The length of the duration as well as the maneuvers maintained during the delivery were the cause. Conclusion: The method of giving birth determines the good state of the newborn neurological integrity. The association of these two disorders, although exeptional, affect seriously the functional prognosis of the child.
