Abstract
Introduction: Organ abscesses are rare but mortal complication. They are mainly due to hematogenous dissemination of infections. Streptococcus intermedius is a usual germ of the oral cavity, oropharynx, gastrointestinal and urogenital tract but it has also been related to pyogenic, invasive infection, abscesses, bacteremia and septic shock. It may also produce liver and head abscesses though most of these studies primarily focus on the second one. Case: 51y/o male patient complaining of fever, cough, dyspnea and joint pain 20days prior to admission.
