Abstract
Variants of designs of hermetic centrifugal extractors whose drive contains a cylindrical magnetic coupling are presented. A frequency converter (inverter) with the standard torque-limiting function was used for reliable startup of centrifugal extractors with an asynchronous electric motor. The proposed centrifugal extractors have been tested successfully on a production stand. No failures attributable to the magnetic coupling were recorded.
