Abstract

It is shown that the problem of computation of importance factors for objects (as user preference intensity indices of these objects) based on interval results of paired comparisons of the considered objects, can be successfully solved by of the described central ray method. A description of specific features of the method is presented by the means of graph theory. An example of finding the importance factors for objects connected by quasiheirarchial preference structure is presented. The described method and the Saaty eigen-vector method are compared.
