Abstract

High-resolution micro-Brillouin scattering experiments have been performed on La-modified (Pb1 − x La x )(Zr1 − y Ti y )O3 (lead zirconate titanate) with x = 0.10, y = 0.35 (PLZT 10/65/35) relaxor ferroelectric ceramic to study the central peaks (CPs) phenomena in the temperature range between -80 and 200°C. Both the intensity and band-width of CP showed broad anomalies in the investigated temperature range. The measured spectra did not show any polarization dependence. The temperature dependence of CPs has been discussed in terms of the thermal evolution of nano-size polar micro regions.
