Abstract

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) has been increasing in popularity as a therapy in recent years. Using a discussion of literature and a case study this paper advocates the use of CBT within learning disability services. The authors suggest that there need to be several developments for CBT to be more widely used in learning disability services. More research is required in the area to develop an evidence base for the use of mental health therapies with people with learning disabilities.
