Abstract

The synthesis and resolution of N-(2′,4′-di- tert-butyl)salicylidene-4-amino[2.2]paracyclophane and its utilization in the copper catalyzed enantioselective cyclopropanation of aromatic olefins is reported herein. Conversions of up to 90% and enantioselectivities of >65% have been achieved for selected olefins.
