Abstract
The main concentration of these case studies has been to search and analyze various aspects on which the working of the organization depends. It involves the problems faced by firms in the era of globalization and need for technology advancement and the role of manufacturing competency in improving their performance. The case studies reveal that the growth of companies has been taking place on a steady pace since the past years. The timely implementation of new strategies and technologies has been the underlying factor for this development. Besides, it is the need of the hour for companies to make innovation and competency significant factors in their development plan if they want to survive in the competitive market. As obtained from quantitative, qualitative and modelling techniques, the factors Sustainable Development, Green Manufacturing, Advanced Production Techniques (Computer Aided Manufacturing and Advanced Maintenance) have a considerable impact as compared to others. The present research attempts to come up to the expectations of industrialists, policy makers, academicians by evaluating the impact of production facilities, upon which the success of the industry depends. In this research high priority risk factors of industry are taken up so as to provide a suitable qualitative model based on these. Taking into account the literature survey, the need of the present study arose because impact of sustainable green development through advanced manufacturing and maintenance techniques in manufacturing performance of manufacturing industry has not been yet addressed. For this purpose, the present study has been designed to investigate and suggest the parameters that contribute to the success of manufacturing industry. Moreover, this topic is need of the hour as it involves environment. For this purpose, the present study is so designed to investigate the sustainable green development initiatives that contribute to the performance of the industry. Based on the risks involved in the industry case studies have been developed based on sustainable green development which will go a long way in serving industries as well as academicians. To summarize, this research makes a significant contribution in the direction of sustainable green development through advanced manufacturing and maintenance techniques. However, this study helps to overcome the limitations that were encountered with the most methodological sound techniques.
