Abstract

Presentation of CaseA 65-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of a cough and bilateral pulmonary infiltrates.She was well until six years earlier, when she began to have scalp pain and tenderness that radiated to the jaw and gums. A physician prescribed an antibiotic, and her symptoms subsided after one month. One month later diplopia developed abruptly, and she was admitted to the hospital, where examination showed a right internuclear ophthalmoplegia, with mild nystagmus of the left eye on leftward and upward gaze, and slight unsteadiness of gait.
