The following investigation was undertaken in an attempt to clarify the interrelationships of symptoms, signs, and electrodiagnostic tests of carpal tunnel syndrome to rheumatoid arthritis.Thirty-three patients with definite or classical rheumatoid arthritis were selected at random. The anatomical stage, functional classification, Lansbury index, and dolorimeter score of wrists were determined. Two-point discrimination and touch were documented. The patients were questioned regarding symptoms of dysesthesias. Tinel's and Phalen's tests were performed. Motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the median and ulnar nerves was...
