Abstract

Motivation for the work of specialists in the field of sports is closely related to career orientations, which begin to form during the period of study at the university. The purpose of the study was to study the value orientations in professional activity of students of the Institute of Physical Culture. In total, 74 students of the Institute of Physical Culture, 36 boys and 35 girls took part in the study. The method of "Career Anchors" (E. Shane, translation and adaptation by V. A. Chiker, V. E. Vinokurova) and the method of motivation of professional activity by N. Zamfir modified by A. Rean have been used as scientific research methods. The study revealed the dominant career orientations of students, as well as the leading motives of labor activity. The results of the study indicate a positive correlation between such career orientations as management, entrepreneurship, challenge and the presence of a significant negative relationship, between the level of professional competence and negative external motivation.
