Abstract

Carbon nitride nanosheets are firstly prepared and used as host materials for the element sulfur. The SEM results show that the carbon nitride displays nanosheets structure. Besides, XPS is applied for studying the chemical valance in the carbon nitride nanosheets/sulfur (CN-NS/S) composites. Finally, the CN-NS/S composites are designed as cathode electrode for the lithium-sulfur batteries. The electrochemical measurements indicate that the as-prepared CN-NS/S composite electrodes have high specific capacity and superior cycle stability at various current densities.
