Abstract

A relationship is derived for the calculation of the surface temperature of a layer of liquid in the process of combined heat and mass transfer. It is demonstrated that, in the case of similarity of the laws of heat and mass transfer, this temperature is constant. The results of numerical and analytical calculations of the surface temperature of a layer of liquid are compared, and the conditions of validity of the calculation formulas based on the small contact time approximation are determined.
