Abstract
This paper deals with the flux leakage coefficient calculation of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with interior V-type magnets and fractional slot concentrated windings (FSCW). The leakage flux coefficient reflects the effective utilization of total flux provided by the permanent magnet to the external magnetic circuit. It is an important parameter to improve the performance of PMSM with V-type magnets and FSCW. It is essential to compute the motor characteristics by the analytical method (AM).
