Abstract

Comparative calculations of electromagnetic field distributions in double salient switched reluctance motor based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Reluctance Network Method (RNM) are presented. It has been shown that the results of calculations and measurements are in good agreement. The RNM can be successfully applied to torque calculations, while a simple discretization of the motor cross-section is used.
