Abstract

The paper presents an accurate and efficient method for calculating the capacitances and the inductances of thick-ring conductors in a stratified medium. These parameters are evaluated from the charges and the currents found from two separate surface integral equations using the Galerkin method. The relevant Green's functions are written in a spatial-spectral hybrid form, and the hybrid method is pursued further to the evaluation of the respective system matrix elements. The charges and the currents are estimated by using entire-domain basis functions including the physically correct edge behaviour of the distributions on the conductors with a rectangular cross-section.
