Abstract

BVR photoelectric photometry and positions are reported for 437 stars in 49 Palomar Sky Survey fields. A relation is derived between the Johnson BVR photometry and the E and O photographic magnitudes on the Palomar plates. The BVR photometry, the E and O magnitudes, the 1950 positions and finding charts for all the sequence stars are presented. Magnitude-diameter relations are derived for the blue and red plates for 28 of these fields. The magnitude-diameter relations have essentially the same shape with small shifts in zero point from plate to plate. This preliminary results suggests that a common function will describe the magnitude-diameter relation for the entire Palomar Sky Survey when corrected for variations in zero point.
